SOUTH BEND, Ind (U.S. Marshal Press Release) Following a four-year tradition of success in its national efforts, the U.S. Marshals Service locally conducted another successful Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally) from June 23 27. Led by the U.S. Marshal, Operation FALCON 2008 netted 211arrests and cleared 306 warrants within the Northern District of Indiana.

London, July 19 : Rusi Taleyarkhan, a nuclear engineer of Indian origin, who claimed in 2002 to have achieved nuclear fusion by popping bubbles in a solvent, has been accused of research misconduct by Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, US.

Edgewood police arrested Matthew Coonce, 31, of 4500 block of South Lafayette St., Fort Wayne, at 11:35 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Meadow Lane, Edgewood, on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class D felony, and driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor.
